“The Showdown That Never Was”

It’s all right.

Here Comes The Sun means to me….

The Promise of Better Things to Come (for the love of continuance)

Showdown 48 was scheduled for 28 March 2020. With COVID-19 restrictions in place it wasn’t to be. I took my dog Yippee outside that night. I knew we didn’t have too much longer together. He was old and blind. He was suffering.

Looking up I saw my neighbour’s tree seemingly reaching the moon. It was so still – and the scenery was so moving. It struck me as a moment in time that needed recording. This was the night of the Showdown that never was.

Yippee left us two days later. Showdown 48 was rescheduled to 13 June 2020.

This is my tribute to continuance. Perseverance. The will to keep going. The promise of better things to come. It’s all right.
