31 August 2026

Last day of winter and I went for my first walk (of winter). I’m not motivated to exercise at the best of times let alone when cold. Even a walk seems like an effort. I always enjoy it when I actually do it though. And today I got to see Milly (the dog) as I walked around the lake. I love her. She reminds me of a female version of Yippee. So I don’t just love her, I really love her.

It’s so easy to love animals.

Work was pretty good today. Not fantastic but good. The same sort of things tend to pop up in all my jobs, so I realise and accept that this is a reflection of me and my work practices. I like systems, procedures, logic, strategic rationale, and the freedom to apply my creative input to increase efficiency and facilitate best comms. Others aren’t good with systems, procedures, written stuff, etc, and with that comes communication clashes.

What to do? Find a happy medium I guess.

I’m still to master the void between those who are verbal and those who communicate optimally in writing, but I’m happy to bend and fit with what’s best for the team at large.

Communication is important to me. I like my job. It’s a goodie. I hope to be here until my artistic endeavours can sustain my lifestyle (and then some).

Today is 31 August 2026. Bye bye winter. Bring on spring. I am ready.
