I still look forward to writing every day but it’s getting harder. I thought it would be ten minutes but it’s more - what with my obsessive nature of checking flow, grammar and punctuation. And then posting to socials. So something needs to change because I don’t want this love of writing to become a chore, an obligation and a resentment.

The other thing is, at times during the day I find myself thinking “I can write about this later”, and that’s not what I intended. These ten minute dailies are meant to be off the cuff, not planned.

And another thing is, I find myself writing to you (yes you who is reading this), and I thought it would be me writing to me just as I do in my journal.

So this daily writing practice needs tweaking.

You know what though, this is what I want to do with my life. I want to write. And I am. So that’s a good thing.

PS. Pinch and a punch.
