I have small black dots multiplying on the ceiling of my porch. Upon closer inspection of the area I see it’s not just the porch ceiling that’s affected. There are black dots on the aggregate, the outdoor chairs, the windows and even the plants. What is this? I’m being attacked by a dot monster!

I’ve even asked my twice-a-year gardener and he said that apart from fly poop (which he once saw while working the piggeries), he has no idea what it would be.

But it’s not fly poop, I can assure me that. Without any other clue, it was time for Dr Google.

You Tube tells me it’s arterial fungus. Never heard of it.
