So, how are you? We hope this newsletter finds you in good spirits.

Like half of the country we are in lockdown. COVID-19 has possibly messed with the opening of our physical exhibition on 30 July, but we won’t know for sure until this coming Tuesday’s daily dose of (SA government officials) Steven, Nicola and Grant. Keep an eye on social media channels Facebook, Instagram, LinkedIn and Twitter for more info on when we will be opening at Martini On The Parade.

The SALA Festival runs throughout the month of August every year, (See the full program here.) We are geared to GO! While we are yet to find out if there will be a delay in opening our physical show, there’s no reason our online exhibit can’t go live on 30 July as planned. So keep an eye on the Here Comes The Sun webpage for an intimate look at the inspiration behind each piece, plus images of our art. For those attending in person we look forward to having you once South Australia is back to ‘normal’.

Video Teaser

What does Here Comes The Sun mean to you? Our entire exhibition is based on this premise. When we put our thoughts into words and recorded individual interpretations, there was no planning, no rehearsal and no interaction with each other; just us in our respective homes telling it how it is.

Here’s a Glimpse of our Art!

We are so close to uploading photographs of the finished artwork pieces to the website with their accompanying artist statements. In the meantime we can share a taste of what’s coming with these glimpses…. Here are the works in progress.

Behind the Lens | Sue McKay
